Why do you choose to be a connected educator?

I am the instructional technologist for my uni, and teach preservice teachers. As an “army of one,” connecting with others is the best way to keep up with current info in my field, and to find new learning experiences for my students. I also use SM to connect with MY students, as building relationships in 2 class meetings a week is a challenge. My student relationships have improved since bringing the CE concept to my class.
